1. Game Days: April 7-12, 2026.


2. Game location: Hotel Sagitario Princesa Playa**** in Ciutadella de Menorca.


3. Gameplay: Double-round round robin. 30-minute matches + 10 seconds per move.


4. Pairings will be held at the tournament presentation.


5. The tournament will be valid for FIDE rapid ratings. The reference rating will be the FIDE rapid rating for April 2026.


6. The tournament director is Mr. David Pons Carreras, the main referees will be Mr. l’AI José Francisco Suárez Roa and Mr. l’AI Eduardo López.


7. Tiebreakers: For any position in the general classification, the following systems will be used in this order:
· Particular result
· Number of WIN wins
· Sonnenborg-Berger
· Sistema Koya
· Lottery


8. In accordance with FIDE chess laws, players are strictly prohibited from accessing the game room with mobile phones or any other electronic devices. The referee may admonish offenders with sanctions that can range from a warning, loss of the game and even expulsion from the tournament. In order to ensure this point, controls will be carried out with metal detectors.


9. Anything not specified in these rules will be governed by the FEDA and FIDE Competition Regulations and will be resolved by the organization.

A Competition Committee will be formed, made up of the tournament director and two regular players and two reserves, chosen in the first round from among the players who so wish.

The decisions of assistant and auxiliary referees can be appealed verbally and at the same time before the main referee of the tournament. If a player does not agree, he may complain to the Competition Committee for a decision by the main referee.

The claim must be made in writing to the main referee and within a maximum period of 30 minutes after the end of the game that is the reason for the claim. The player who submits a claim must deposit a deposit of 100 euros with the Organization in advance. The deposit will be lost when the claim is not resolved in favor of the claimant.

The resolution of the Competition Committee is final to the Organization.

For the proper development of the tournament and to provide maximum guarantees, the Organization may decide whether the pairing is carried out before or after a resolution by the Competition Committee. If the match is made ahead of the resolution, the match would not be modified later but the result of the claimed game would be modified, if applicable.


10. The tournament will be suspended for reasons of major cause that impede its development.


11. The tournament participants, or their legal guardians if they are minors, authorize the publication of their personal data in the different media that the organization finds appropriate, as well as the dissemination of the event (list of results, classification, participants, games, photographs and videos of the tournament, organization cameras and streaming, etc.).

13. Players agree to attend the game rooms with the proper clothing and to have correct and sportsmanlike behavior.


14. These rules may be modified for reasons of force majeure, technical issues or simply for the good of the competition. The definitive version of the Rules will be the Spanish version displayed in the game room. Participation in the tournament implies full acceptance of these rules.
